Meaning
MEANING. Early this month a friend of mine sent a very thoughtful notice “At the end of life, what really matters is not what we bought but what we built; not what we got but what we shared; not our competence but our character; and not our success, but our significance. Live a life that matters. Live a life of love.” I immediately asked her to have it for my own. Now I remember that one of our notable scientists Albert Einstein once mentioned similar thing “Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value.” While I am still living in this mortal world, I need to collect value instead of ‘things’ that are deteriorating. In His teaching, the Great Teacher reminded His disciples: “…But make a store for yourselves in heaven, where it will not be turned to dust and where thieves do not come in to take it away….”
